About
Studio 24E opened in 2001 with the goal of presenting a distinctive collection of bespoke pieces, original art, and custom framing in a welcoming, approachable setting. Rooted in Maryland, the boutique embraces the city’s character and the easygoing spirit of small-town life. Over the past decade the inventory has been refined into a carefully curated mix of clothing, jewelry and gift finds alongside work from contemporary artists, designers, and independent labels from the U.S. and abroad. Studio 24E continues to expand its offerings, maintaining a diverse selection that reflects the varied communities it serves.
Our Story
Greg Elliott and Nina Tate-Elliott began their retail journey with a strong emphasis on attentive customer service and thoughtful design. Years spent at Nordstrom helped shape their retail instincts and brought them together, providing a foundation of polished service and merchandising savvy. They launched in Annapolis and established their first shop, where they developed a thriving custom-framing business and cultivated a loyal local following through careful attention to detail. Over time they expanded their offerings to include curated jewelry, clothing, gifts, and distinctive home goods, and eventually outgrew that original space as demand grew. In 2005 they relocated about 3½ hours away to the scenic mountain region bordering Maryland and West Virginia, opening a shop in downtown Oakland, Maryland, and a second location at Wisp Resort on Deep Creek Lake. After several seasons serving those communities, they later returned east to continue and grow their store in Thurmont, Maryland.
